All Together Now

Why have I started this blog?

Well, our daughter attends St Aidan's C of E Primary school. A fellow pupil has been violent towards other pupils since the first week in Reception Class, and the violence has got to the extent where we as mums are awaiting the phone call to be told that our child has been hurt or when we go to pick our child up having the teacher come over and tell us that this boy has assaulted our daughter. I personally feel that whenever I confront the school I am met by a smokescreen, and I feel that more is being done for the bully than the safety of our children. They are the innocent party and, I feel they are being badly let down.

This blog is to log instances of bullying that take place, so all parents involved can see just how much of a problem there is at the moment, then maybe we can pull together as a team, and get the problem stamped out.

When we kiss our children goodbye in the morning we expect to be able to spend the day in the knowledge that they are safe, and not subjected to violence, name calling, exclusion, or whatever form of bullying is being used.

If you would like to email me with instances that happen to your child, or pass them onto me, I would be more than happy to add them. I will not use full names, only their first initial. You can email me at egradwell@hotmail.com.

This is by no means a witch hunt, vendetta, or gossip mongering, merely a factual representation of what happens in the school, for us parents to refer to incase of future action. All comments and feedback on this blog are welcome as long as they are constructive, any abusive comments will be removed by the author.

I would, however, hasten to add that if it wasn't for the bullying issues, I would highly recommend the school to anyone looking for education for their children.

Please, help us to stamp out bullying.
